If you exit the Oculus app, the Elite Dangerous game exits too the work-around for this is to keep the Oculus app running, but to log out of it I found this was also necessary in order for controller input to be recognized. I also notice that when launching the VR version of Elite Dangerous from the Epic Store, it will simultaneously launch the Oculus app (which I have installed for ReVive to play Asgard's Wrath anyway to prevent the Oculus app from auto-launching?). Again, I assume no fix for that?Įpic store version seems to crash a lot while playing in VR on SteamVR. Is that just how it is? Game art assets are impressive, but the jaggies are pretty bad on structures outside your ship in the distance. You can get it for free now on the Epic store (has full SteamVR support), or you can purchase it directly on the Steam store where it is 75% off.
